I am thankful and appreciate the comments and support from Professor Parrish and all of my colleagues through this class, which gives me mental support and expands my knowledge on other topics that I have not thought about. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and thoughts in this class and I hope to work with all of you until we complete these courses.
I can be the first one to admit that talking about my family and personal events in my life growing up was very challenging. It was almost as if I was venting because my parents did not have the parenting skills that I know are necessary to raise children that have high self-worth, think for themselves, solve problems, take responsibility for their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and have the ability to manage their life.
One hope that I have moving forward in my career with regard to working with diverse children and families is that I can remain open minded. Therefore, my hope for myself is that I continue to stay on the path I have set for myself and continue to be open to accepting new children families and that I can learn something new about the new cultures that I may encounter.
Reflecting on this course has help me again identify my strengths and weakness and reminded me that I am never to old to learn new things. I am looking forward to exploring what new information I will learn in the upcoming courses. I hope that we will all be continuing this journey together.

Our childhood experiences were different from each other and we parented differently from what our parents did. What this has taught me is that we were resilient. Meaning we both had at least one stable relationship that protected us or provided that buffer we needed to develop into beautiful women (Harvard University, 2015). Let’s be that one caring adult for someone else,…
Hey Cynthia,
Another one down, and hopefully one more to go! It is always a pleasure interacting with you online, text and our phone calls. I have learned so many things from you, especially in the Literacy aspect. See you in the next class, Thanks for sharing😁
